Clearly a spurt, not a nicely paced dash, twas that lil' flurry of Music Blogging in the latter-half of Summer '19. No excuses though as bloggin' about why your not bloggin' is some proper entry level Live Journal '99 shit. No thanks sir. And no thanks either to all those in the Blue Half of the country who said "sure" in unison to some real racist backwards-thinkin' bullshit, over some kinda racist short term forwards-thinkin'. Onwards and downwards.
And while we're off-topic and scrounging around in storage units for our blog passcodes etc, we might as well pull out that long-bow too, apt here for connecting targets of non-words and non-futures to far better executed sentences from one of Sydney's best, Sachet, who've uncovered the band room key and punched out another classic, another bloody inch-perfect balance between all comparable opposites (seraphic but gritty, shruggy but purposeful) and another reason to kick off another lil' spurt of activity on this word/mood board.
"Nets" is the title track from the quartet's forthcoming second LP, due September via Tenth Court. Playing catch up? Grab their brilliant debut Portion Control on vinyl/bytes via Strange Pursuits.
You can also catch Sachet returning to the stage this evening (June 14th) at 96 Tears, with support from Miners, Skid Pan Alley and Enfant Terrible; details here.
